TO MY DEAREST FAVORITE SON: How proud I am of your accomplishments as you step into this next adventure of your life. Just remember that anything can happen on an adventure and it is still OK, so you just do your best and move forward. It is similar to life. Don't forget to communicate as often as possible with your parents and remember that your mother does not have to know everything especially if you were closely killed. Be as safe as possible and return to us a new man. Love Mom:)

ReplyDeleteNot sure that Mario will get this message but please pass along that I
was at Mom's tonight and was able to open and read his entire Blog to
her. She enjoyed it very much and wants him to know he is a great
writer. She knew that through all the letters you wrote her but it was
particularly nice to hear of your travels to South Africa.
As for me, I shared some of your same frustrations with those trips to
Nicaragua. Some of the happiest people I have ever met living in
complete poverty. It is an emotional experience.
Grandma is praying for the success of your trip and I will be also.
